alert Lighthouse Parking The Turkey Point Lighthouse parking lot frequently fills to capacity on weekends. The best times to visit is before 10 AM or after 6:30 PM on weekends or any time during the week. You may be turned away during peak visitation hours on weekends. Be aware all Day-Use Areas close at Sunset.

description Enjoy spectacular views of the Chesapeake Bay headwaters! Sandy beaches, marshlands and heavily wooded bluffs rising above the Susquehanna Flats. Camping, boating, and swimming are major activities. Several trails meander through the diverse landscape, revealing the great variety of plant and animal life. An easy walking trail to Turkey Point Lighthouse provides a view of the Elk River and the Chesapeake Bay. Family Fun for everyone!
